Another 10 Overlooked Single Player Indie Games
There are also some links within the first link that discuss indie local multiplayer games as well.
Introduction We're all familiar with the Hotline Miami's, Hollow Knight's, and Celeste's of the world. These are some of the indie games that hit the big time. Of course, for every one of these games, there's 100 other indie games that have been glossed over, relegated to a spot in a digital store few people will ever find themselves in. I wanted to bring attention to some of these lesser known indie games once again.
Details About the List I'm going to order them according to Metacritic Critic Ratings. Steam is the only one on the list with all 10 games featured (Steam has 10 of them, Switch has 9 of them, PlayStation 4 has 7 of them, and Xbox One has 5 of them), but the Switch gets more reviews than the other platforms, so I will it use the Switch version of all the games for their review scores, except #8, where I will use the Steam version, since that’s the only version of it available. The two bottom games have pretty low critic ratings (60% with 1 Critic Review and 53% with 2 Critic Reviews). I personally disagree with the low scores of these two games, but it's only fair that you hear from more than just me. Keep in mind that games with only one or two User Ratings on Metacritic will not show the score. A game needs at least three User Ratings on Metacritic before the score will be shown. This is not the case for Critic Reviews.
Currently
9 of the games are on sale on Steam right now, and 5 of them are on sale on Switch. None of them are on sale on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One at the moment.
For the purpose of this post, I’m just going to stick with saying “achievements” and “getting all achievements” instead of “trophies” and “platinum trophy” since Steam has all 10 games on the list. You can basically substitute these with “trophies” and “platinum trophy” if you’re a PlayStation gamer. I will make mention of the two games on here that don’t include a platinum trophy however.
Platforms will include a link to the U.S. store page of the game for each platform.
Price is in U.S. dollars.
1. Ultra Hat Dimension - Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, Steam
- Regular Price: $4.99
- Steam Sale Price: $3.74
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Link
- Genre: 2D Level-based Puzzle Game
- Metacritic: 85% from 1 Critic Review, N/A from 0 User Ratings
- Description: Ultra Hat Dimension follows Bea through a series of rooms in a palace on a quest to undo the magical spell that has made the mythical Spluff creatures want to attack one another. There is a little bit of backstory via one sentence thoughts from Bea in between levels, but nothing major here. The gameplay revolves equipping four different types of hats and using them to evade or push Spluffs around to retrieve the key and reach the door. Each Spluff dons one of four different hats which effects their behavior towards other Spluffs and you. You will be punched one tile back by every Spluff unless you’re wearing the same hat as the Spluff. Spluffs interact with one another differently depending on what hat they’re wearing in a rock, paper, scissors kind of way – they may punch a Spluff back one space, get into a scuffle that allows you to get close to them without wearing a hat, or they may temporarily disable them in a way that allows you to access the space the Spluff consumes within eight moves. There are undo and reset buttons included that allow you to quickly rewind mistakes. There are some clever puzzles accompanied by catchy tunes and a charming pixel art aesthetic. The difficulty is about average.
- Completion Time: ~3 Hours
- Extra Content: Since this is published by Ratalaika Games, getting all the achievements can be obtained after only clearing 2/3 of the levels. There are a few custom maps on the PC version of the game but no additional content on consoles.
2. Bot Vice - Platforms: Switch, Steam
- Regular Price: $9.99
- Switch Sale Price: $2.99
- Steam Sale Price: $1.99
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Link
- Genre: 1990s Arcade-like Fixed Screen Shoot ‘em Up
- Metacritic: 80% from 1 Critic Review, 90% from 1 User Rating
- Description: Bot Vice follows Erin Saver through a dystopian world with anthropomorphic animals and a 1990s arcade aesthetic, complete with cheesy dialogue and an announcer that shouts your item pickups with enthusiasm. Each level takes place on one screen and tasks you with defeating waves of enemies while minimizing damage to yourself. You are always locked behind a barrier at the bottom of the screen and are only able to move left and right. In terms of move set, you have a number of different guns and projectiles, your saber, your roll, and you can duck behind cover to make it through each level. Parts of the barrier can be destroyed, leading to gaps where normal enemy fire can reach you. Weapons and powerups will spawn from hitting a certain type of enemy that you’ll then have to pick up from where they land. The gameplay is fast paced and allows you to unleash a heavy amount of firepower on some very big foes. The levels are all short but will likely take a number of attempts to complete, as there is a lot to take account of on screen. Nearly every level has a mini boss appear at the end, with a main boss featured after every five levels. At the end of every level, you’ll be rated based on your completion time and health points remaining. I only got a few high ratings on my first time through, so there’s an additional challenge there if you want an A rank on every level.
- Completion Time: ~3.5 Hours
- Extra Content: Beating the main campaign unlocks an additional 25 levels – this is on top of the 25 bridged together in the main campaign. Getting all achievements is somewhat difficulty, as you must beat all 25 levels in the main campaign with at least an A rank.
3. Valfaris - Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, Steam
- Regular Price: $24.99
- Steam Sale Price: $9.99
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Link
- Genre: Run & Gun
- Metacritic: 79% from 19 Critic Reviews, 81% from 36 User Ratings
- Description: Valfaris is one of the best run & gun games I've ever played. You play as Prince Therion who returns to his home planet of Valfaris on a quest to kill his father. It's themed around a fictional planet and has a gross alien vibe coupled with heavy metal music. The music doesn't override the other audio in the game, and it does a nice job of upping the ante when you're fighting a boss – of which there are many. You're equipped with a primary gun, a more powerful mana-based gun, a sword, and a shield that can block with mana or parry. There are a number of weapons to acquire throughout the game, and the guns in particular do a great job of feeling different. You’re able to upgrade your weapons with Blood Metals. Some Blood Metals are found in plain sight, others are rewarded for defeating a tough enemy, and some are given for going off the beaten path. These upgrades typically just up the firepower but will sometimes introduce a secondary move to your weapon. There are checkpoints every two minutes or so, and most bosses will have a checkpoint just before them (only the weaker bosses come after a gauntlet of enemies). The game is a little hard at points, but overall it strikes a nice balance of feeling accomplished for overcoming the challenges without getting overly frustrating.
- Completion Time: ~8 Hours
- Extra Content: There are a few secrets to find throughout the game that are off the beaten path, though I was able to find 2/3 of them on my first playthrough. I found all but one weapon as well. The replayability comes from New Game+, which allows you to take all your upgraded weapons into a harder version of the game. Since the weapons all function a bit differently, this can be lots of fun.
4. Inertial Drift - Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, Steam
- Regular Price: $19.99
- Steam Sale Price: $15.99
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Link
- Genre: Racing
- Metacritic: 79% from 6 Critic Reviews, 77% from 3 User Ratings
- Description: Inertial Drift's distinguishing characteristic is its employment of the right analog stick for drifting. This takes a little getting used to, but it feels great once you get the hang of it, creating some exhilarating moments when perfecting corner turns. The game has 10 unique tracks + 10 reversed tracks, 16 vehicles, and four separate story arcs. Each story arc is only a couple of hours long and features a different protagonist with a different vehicle. Since you’ll be racing on the same track a few times, there are a few gameplay variations that differ from just reaching the finish line at the end, such as racking up a certain number of points that are acquired through longer drift times and other means. There's quite a bit of dialogue between races, and in the races themselves characters will frequently dish out positive commentary on your performance in the form of text in the top left hand corner of the screen. The game's aesthetics are a fusion of anime and synthwave. I've heard many fans liken the game to the manga Initial D, though I'm unfamiliar with that series myself.
- Completion Time: ~3 Hours (for 1/4 Story Arcs)
- Extra Content: There are a number of different modes including a Story Mode, Challenge Mode, Grand Prix Mode, Arcade Mode, two player Split-Screen, and Online, as well as a Tutorial. Completion of challenges in Challenge Mode allows you to unlock new vehicles for the other non-Story Modes. Grand Prix Mode allows you to race using different characters/vehicles through a connected set of challenges, while Arcade Mode is for one-off races. I wouldn't recommend this game for online play as the user-base is pretty small (hence it being overlooked) and you're unlikely to find a match.
5. Golf Peaks - Platforms: Switch, Steam, iPhone/iPad
- Regular Price: $4.99
- Switch & Steam Sale Price: $1.99
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Link
- Genre: Level-based Puzzle Game
- Metacritic: 78% from 22 Critic Reviews, 78% from 16 User Ratings
- Description: Golf Peaks is a card-base puzzle game that plays nothing like the actual sport of golf outside of getting a tiny ball in a hole. Instead you’ll choose your moves by using the cards at the bottom of the screen. They have different numbers and trajectory that result in hitting the bar different distances and different heights. You aim the ball up, down, left, or right, and then select the card you want to use. There are a number of different tiles that have their own effects that you have to account for. Ramps, for example, will force your ball down unless you’re able to have your ball travel to the top in one move. There were a number of times when I thought I had tried every solution just to finally find the right solution. The minimalist visual style and relaxing music service the game’s simple but engaging premise. The difficulty is about average.
- Completion Time: ~3 Hours
- Extra Content: There are three extra levels in each world which will add about another two hours of game time, as they are typically harder than the nine levels found in their respective world. Getting all achievements requires beating all regular levels and bonus levels, plus finding a secret in the credits section.
6. Horizon Shift ‘81 - Platforms: PlayStation 4, Switch,, Steam
- Regular Price: $8.99 on PlayStation 4 & Steam, $9.99 on Switch
- Switch Sale Price: $1.99
- Steam Sale Price: $1.79
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Link
- Genre: 1980s Arcade-like Fixed Screen Shoot ‘em Up
- Metacritic: 78% from 4 Critic Reviews, 80% from 4 User Ratings
- Description: This is actually a sequel to the Steam exclusive Horizon Shift, which sports a different aesthetic and isn’t quite as good from what I’ve read. Horizon Shift ’81 mimics the look of a fixed screen shoot ‘em up from the early 1980s but comes with a few twists of its own. Your ship is positioned in the middle of the screen on a horizontal line rather than the bottom, and you have to flip between sides to deal with enemies coming from both the top and the bottom. The line can be broken in different places – leaving a gap where you can fall to your death – by asteroids and certain projectiles. This is where the expanded moveset comes into play: you can jump between gaps and also over enemies who attach themselves to the line. Enemies on the line can also be taken out with a horizontal shield bash that regenerates after a few seconds. There is a boss after every five stages, some of which will actually bring the line down to the bottom of the screen, while others retain it in the middle. Horizon Shift ’81 has a number of customizable settings that change everything from the aesthetics, to the difficulty, to the checkpoint/lives system, to the speed of the game, and more. The two main modes are a choice between three lives with a checkpoint before and after every boss, or a checkpoint at the beginning of every level but only one life.
- Completion Time: ~3.5 Hours (Normal Mode on Arcade Style)
- Extra Content: There are a number of ways to customize your future playthroughs, and there’s an unlockable boss rush mode after finishing the game. You can also try to outdo your previous score(s). The few achievements are relatively easy to obtain. There is no platinum trophy for this game.
7. Pato Box - Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, Steam, PlayStation Vita
- Regular Price: $14.99
- Switch Sale Price: $3.74
- Steam Sale Price: $2.99
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Link
- Genre: Punch-Out-like 3D Action Adventure
- Metacritic: 74% from 14 Critic Reviews, 75% from 13 User Ratings
- Description: Pato Box follows an anthropomorphic duck boxer on an adventure through a stylistic noir comic book world. “Pato” is a Spanish word that translates to “Duck” in English (the game was developed by a Mexican studio). The boss fights are heavily inspired by Punch-Out’s gameplay, but there are levels outside of these fights to help differentiate it. Most of the levels can be selected in any order you choose and typically serve as a leadup to the boss fight. Bosses are usually introduced by a cutscene followed by some dialogue taunting Pato Box. The levels play entirely differently from the fights, but the themes of the level match those of the bosses. The levels will employ various elements of evasion, stealth, exploration, and a few time-based mini-games. The casino level, for example, will have you walk around the casino looking for chips and punching the slot machines to earn enough to pay entrance to the fight, while the food factory has you evading stompers, sawblades, and butcher knives as you work your way through the level. There are variety of things to find throughout the levels: tokens for decorations in Pato Box’s room, backstory on the boss of the level and the world, and tips on how to win the upcoming fight. The fights themselves lock Pato Box in the middle of the screen, allowing you to block, juke left or right, and perform a low or high jab to the left or right. The game foregoes a HUD in favor of a visual representation of your health via scars on your body, which I thought was a nice touch. While the levels and bosses play pretty differently from each other, they’re weaved together by a dark and intriguing story that follows Pato Box’s quest for retribution against an evil corporation.
- Completion Time: ~7 Hours
- Extra Content: There are motion controls for the boss fights exclusive to the Switch version of the game. There’s also an Arcade Mode that lets you replay boss fights and some collectibles to find. The achievements are very difficult, and many ask you to beat a boss without taking a single hit.
8. Primal Light - Platforms: Steam
- Regular Price: $14.99
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Link
- Genre: 2D Action Platformer
- Metacritic: 60% from 1 Critic Review, N/A from 0 User Ratings
- Description: Primal Light follows an alien caveman through a mostly linear series of 10 levels and 10 bosses. There are some hidden paths that lead to health and health potion upgrades, charms, and lives, with usually a challenge between you and the collectible. Charms grant passive effects, like boosting strength after taking a hit from an enemy, and allow for some player choice – there are 12 of them but only two can be wielded at a time. Health potions function similarly to Estus Flask in Dark Souls, in that they regenerate upon death, and finding the right time to use one is a game in itself. As you progress through the game, you get a few mandatory upgrades to your moveset that allow for slightly more complex platforming. The game dons a 16-bit aesthetic but controls feel modern and smooth. You can attack in four directions, and your character has some midair control. Bosses are a particular highlight, both in the visual department and from a gameplay standpoint. There is a lives system, so losing all of them at the end of a level or boss will put you back in the beginning. This is only for the two harder difficulty options – the easiest difficulty option has lives disabled. That said, I played on Normal Mode and only got one Game Over for about three to five of the levels. There is some future DLC planned for the game that will add more levels.
- Completion Time: ~3 Hours (Normal Mode/Middle Difficulty Option)
- Extra Content: I only got 7/12 charms on my first playthrough, so there are likely a few secrets to go back for. Outside of that, if you played it on one of the lower difficulties you can try your hand at Hardcore Mode. The achievements ask you to do challenging things to get 100%, like collecting all upgrades, beating the game without dying once, and beating Hardcore Mode without using any Continues.
9. Tamashii - Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, Steam
- Regular Price: $5.99 on Steam, $11.99 on consoles
- Switch Sale Price: $4.79
- Steam Sale Price: $2.49
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Slightly Graphic (Link
- Genre: Puzzle Platformer
- Metacritic: 53% from 2 Critic reviews, N/A from 0 User Ratings
- Description: Reportedly inspired by obscure Japanese games from the late 1980s and 1990s, Tamashii blends puzzle platforming together with an oppressive atmosphere. The introduction starts with the character being willed into existence by a godlike character that tasks him with destroying the macabre forces that have taken control of and corrupted his chambers. Your character is able to spawn three inanimate clones of himself which is the primary source for most of the platforming and some of the boss fights – you’ll use them to trigger switches and open up new paths. There’s about an even mix of puzzle solving and platforming, and there’s a whole eight bosses in this short adventure (though one is a secret) that are probably the most visually interesting moments in the game. The creatures and backgrounds are effective in selling the dark presentation of the game. The difficulty is about average – maybe slightly easier than most indie puzzle platformers. There is a sequel currently in the works.
- Completion Time: ~2.5 Hours
- Extra Content: There are a few obscure secrets to discover. You can also play through the chambers again with a score meter, and there are certain achievements associated with getting a good score. Getting all achievements isn’t too difficult, but you’ll probably need a guide for some of the secrets.
10. Neon Drive - Platforms: PlayStation 4, Switch, Steam iPhone/iPad
- Regular Price: $9.99
- Steam Sale Price: $3.49
- Picture: Link
- Trailer: Link
- Genre: Rhythm
- Metacritic: N/A from 0 Critic Reviews, N/A from 0 User Ratings
- Description: Neon Drive is a challenging rhythm game with a synthwave aesthetic and appropriately matching music. The objective of the game is to evade the obstacles coming at you by transitioning between four lanes at the right moment using either two of the face buttons, D-Pad, or shoulder buttons. Personally I found the shoulder buttons worked best. The game will occasionally transform you into other vehicles that mix the gameplay up a bit - one notable example is when you turn into a plane and transition between eight lanes in a 360 degree orientation. There are only eight levels that are all about three minutes in length if you were to beat them with no deaths, with two checkpoints and two health points that regenerate between checkpoints. While this all sounds very generous, most of these levels will still take you dozens of tries, though the life reset is almost immediate so you can get back into the action right away.
- Completion Time: ~3 Hours
- Extra Content: There are two harder difficulties, an endurance mode that sees how long you can go without dying, a free run mode that allows you to play through the game without reset (only unlocked after beating each level), and online leaderboards. The achievements are very difficult. There is no platinum trophy for this game.
Special shoutout to
Valfaris which is my favorite game on the list and, again, one my favorite 2D run & guns ever.
Have you played any of these games? What are some other overlooked single player indie games?

We think, however, that the withdrawal times could be significantly improved. >> Grab Free Spins Bonus Offers << Community & Customer Service Community Unfortunately, Slots Devil is not especially active in the social media space, which reduces the range of options players have to engage. There is a Facebook page (@SlotsDevil), but they haven’t posted regularly or recently, while a Twitter account has been established (@SlotsDevil) but thus far has not been active. In terms of community and player engagement, this is undoubtedly an aspect where there is room for improvement. Customer Service You have a regular package of options when it comes to contacting customer services if you have a problem or a query. These include: Take Slots Devil Casino with You The Slots Devil mobile site looks reasonably good and is always easy to use, even though the design is perhaps a little plain when compared to some other similar sites. There is some decent functionality, although the search and sort features could be refined a little further to provide more options. However, you can access a range of features with a single tap from the home screen, which is very convenient when playing on a mobile device. Overall, our verdict is that the playing experience is marginally better at the mobile site than on a dekstop, but there’s not much in it. You can play on any device without the need to download a Slots Devil app, as all the games are browser-based. This makes the games accessible on all types of phone and tablet, including Android smartphones and tablets, Apple iPhone and iPad, plus phones using other operating systems. >> Grab Free Spins Bonus Offers << Our Take on Slots Devil Casino If we focus solely on the games provision, there are a lot of things here that add up to a very good playing experience. The slots in particular are excellent, both in terms of the number and the quality of the games, and there are plenty of options when it comes to live dealer games as well. There are some things where we think there is room for improvement, especially in terms of player engagement and the overall design and physical appearance of the site (particularly on the desktop version), but we nevertheless always enjoy playing here. Our final Slots Devil Casino review score is therefore 4 stars out of 5. Have Your Say! Is this a site for saints or sinners? Is it a place for slot players to have a hell of a good time? Let us know in the comments, or feel free to write your own Slots Devil review to share with our readers. >> Grab Free Spins Bonus Offers << submitted by freespinsgratis_com to u/freespinsgratis_com [link] [comments] |

Esports is clearly the focus of this gaming platform, however, its casino section features a nice selection of slots, table games, as well as live dealer tables, which you can play using the Unikoin Gold cryptocurrency besides other commonly accepted online casino payment methods. In this Unikrn review, we'll focus on what this online casino can offer to Canadian casino players in particular, by examining the welcome bonuses, game selection and other features that distinguish it. Unikrn Casino Bonus Unikrn Casino welcomes new players with a bonus that's made up of two parts: i) a free spins bonus, and ii) a cool deposit match bonus that triples your first deposit amount! Unikrn Casino Free Spins Bonus The Unikrn free spins bonus is dedicated to slot players out there, as it consists of 100 Free Spins on Better Wilds slot. However, it seems that casino players can still claim a bonus of $25 every week if they make over 3 deposits of a cumulative value of $100. This applies to players' first session in Casino every calendar week from Monday to Sunday. The casino also claims to have ongoing deposit offers for existing players. The best way to find out about such offers as they arise is by opting-in to Unikrn's marketing communications via your profile page. Unikrn Loyalty Program We have been unable to find any information on a VIP or loyalty program run by Unikrn for its casino players. Its Connect rewards scheme seems to be restricted to those who play top esports games. Unikrn Casino Games The casino selection at Unikrn may not be the biggest one around, but the platform has partnered up with a few leading developers to offer a decent selection of online slots, table games and live dealer tables. Let's take a look at what you'll encounter under each category. >> Get Your Free Spins Now << Online Slots Unikrn hosts online slot games by the top providers Playtech, Pragmatic Play, Habanero and others. Unfortunately, it does not feature any titles by some of the most loved providers in the slots industry, such as Microgaming, Netent and Play N Go, and we hope that this will change in future. That said, it's certainly worth having a look at its Instant Cash Drop games, which include the popular Pirates Gold and Wolf Gold. Table Games At Unikrn you'll find a small selection of classic RNG table games, which include Premium Roulette and Blackjack, as well as Baccarat. However, if you truly enjoy playing these games, we recommend going for the live casino category instead, where you'll find a greater selection of tables. Unikrn Live Casino The live casino at Unikrn was launched only this year, but still features some of the most popular live dealer games by Playtech. Live Roulette Unikrn sports multiple variants of the popular Roulette wheel, allowing players to take a seat at the following tables: - Live Roulette Lobby
- Live French Roulette
- Quantum Roulette
- Age of the Gods Roulette
Live Blackjack, Baccarat and other card games Blackjack players will be delighted with the selection of variants at Unikrn Casino. As for Live Baccarat, at the moment the live casino only features 7-seat Baccarat. - Live Blackjack Lobby
- Grand Blackjack
- Quantum Blackjack
- Unlimited Blackjack
- All Bets Blackjack

[LET'S BUILD] D100 Modern(ish)/Superhero Cities
Unlike my
previous post, this post will be for original cities rather than renamed ones. These can be more fantastical than the real world, too, operated on superhero comic rules. Some people are born with superpowers. Magic and supernatural creatures are real, albeit kept secret from the mundane world. Aliens occasionally invade, advanced technology can be found in many mad scientist labs, but the world as a whole is still recognizable as our own.
- Platinum City - A sparkling American east coast city, it's skyline covered in glass skyscrapers with monorails arcing between important buildings, this is one of the most technologically advanced cities in the world. It was always home to the prestigious Argent University of Science, but the city truly grew after a normally horrible accident. Research into the metahuman gene in the late 70s went wrong and polluted the soil and water in the area. Nearly 1 in 4 people born in the city are born with the metahuman gene. People flocked here hoping to give their future generations a better life. By the 90s, many tweens began manifesting powers and the city practically became a warzone. It was here that the concept of superheroes and supervillains became widespread. Those who didn't go mad with power found themselves using their powers to improve the city in the 2000s, leading it to the grand state it's in now.
- St. Vladimir - This Minnesotan city and the surrounding suburbs are more important to the world than most realize. While the mundane world knows of the powerful Russian mafia which seems to control the area, few know that these mafiosos are monster hunters. The city is silently in a feud between the hunters, vampires, and the black magic practitioners who flock to the city. Wendigos and ghouls lurk through the alleyways while vampires control many large businesses. The only reason the monsters remain is because of the structure that has formed, allowing most to obtain the necessary blood, flesh, and (in the warlocks' case) ritual components required for them to stave off death/starvation/their demonic masters.
- The Burg - a floating city composed of powerless folks trying to get away from the metahumans, the people there call it the last bastion of humanity if the "superfreaks" ever decide to destroy everything. This city floats around near the Arctic circle and is mostly a lashed together boat city. (u/seriousd6)
- Hana - well hidden desert city where the residents (powered and not) all live in harmony under a caring leader who is committed to stop the research into metahuman genetics, and believes that researchers in this field are performing harmful experiments on the people to further their ends. (u/seriousd6)
- The Cap - an extremely mechanical city (think steampunk) where a niche metahuman group has decided to band together, this has become a haven for all those with heat-related powers. The price for living is to help run the boilers that power the city, the reward is community and safety in numbers. (Bonus points if it is on or near a volcano) (u/seriousd6)
- Willowville- A small USA southern town. In the 1930s a small meteorite crashed and it’s strange ore contaminated the land and water. Generations later children are being born with powers, but the town leaders are doing al they can to keep it secret. (u/ravi95035)
- Peninsula City - west coast USA city founded by three supers in the late 1800s that now serves as a sanctuary city for supers. (u/ravi95035)
- Nairos - Northern African city protected by the Warriors of Clay (sentient clay golems), a safe haven for supers in that global area. (u/ravi95035)
- Salem's Burrow, Kansas- An unassuming farm town in the middle of no where. Most of the roads are dirt with a spartan few asphalt roads. Corn fields as far as the eye can see with an occasional old house or a different crop breaking the rows for a moment before more corn fields. In reality, it hides a troll market with tunnels from every basement and farm house (basically a market that sells everything from legitimate merchandise to slaves to counterfeit goods to black magic rituals schematics). All the farmers are the same entity that can manifest in various forms perfectly who been serving fey folks, supers, humans, and freaks as a cover for the eyes of various "unaligned" and hostile groups though only the most ancient beings know this secret. (u/Th3R3493r)
- The Okínihaŋ Reservation: It is a series of reservation Native American Reservation in South and North Dakota. Before the Government and pioneers came, the tribes stretched over the Great Plains. Now on the surface, it is the remnants of various tribes who run an empire of casinos and try to keep their traditions alive. Due to their legal system being different and the state of world, they operate a covert mercenary corps comprised of various "monsters" as most would call them from Lechuza (owl-women who specialized in nighttime recon and target extractions), Skin walkers (various roles from combat to subterfuge), Teihiihan and Nimerigar (supposedly dead formerly cannibalistic races of dwarf-like operators who are now engineering and forensic experts), Kushtaka (otter-men who aid forces in stealth maritime offensives), and various others including a few "Gods from the Time the Earth was new". They cover it up with actors and legitimate conspiracy theorist on the fringes constantly given every direction but the right ones. (u/Th3R3493r)
- !!! (pronounced by throwing your hands up and stomping loudly) or Paralite- It is an alien city nowadays. Not like tourist-trap towns, the aliens are there. !!! was secretly founded in 1956 by ⏃⌰⟊⍜⊑⋏ ⋔⏃⋏⌇⍜⋏ (in English, Al'John Manson) a "supposedly" exiled prince of scavenger civilization who brought a ⟟⌇☌⏃⌰⏃⋏⏁⟟⏃⋏ (Isgalantian) warship to the back yard of a doomsday prepper by the name of Jonathon Manson who became his advisor after this superpower of universal translation was found out accident as he cussed the alien warship out in fluent ☊⍜⋔⋔⍜⋏ (Common). After the CIA was tasked to "peacefully" resolve the problem and ⏃⌰⟊⍜⊑⋏ ⋔⏃⋏⌇⍜⋏ made a agreement to help forward technology to bested the Reds (who obtained scraped and damaged tech from the Tunguska event of 1908 and "The Night of Green Lights"), the town became a headquarter for the Black Suits (MiB like organzation) and a safe haven. With the first Cold War ending when the re-release of Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin by an unknown cosmic entity, the town was silently reclassified and became another Silicon Valley under the name Paralite and a embassy for friendly extraterrestrial alien lifeforms. (u/Th3R3493r)
- The Arks - it is a secret system of floating city much like the Burg, but, more selective of their population. Supers, Aliens, Freaks, Cryptids and Normals are equally accepted and screened with any possible damning flaws or factors will be grounds of denial or termination if they are compromised after entry. The Arks are attempts as an ultramodern semi-utopia and a backup plan if the sea rising causes the civilization to have go to sea permanently. While organized crime syndicates still attempt to get a foot hold on them, all attempts have been unsuccessful and unprofitable for now. But, as long the Arks are on the horizon and shanty town of boats trail behind them waiting for the day they can take an Ark for their side and to use as a forwarding base for operations. (u/Th3R3493r)
- Big Mountain, Nevada (Big Empty or Big MT) - formerly a government ran town that held the "best and brightest that the world had to offer". Long story short, "best and brightest" did not account for morals. So, with blank checks without a concern for ethics, morality, and human rights, It became a refugee full of mad scientist, mutants, mutates, and cyborgs. The current overseer has the town look and play like a sitcom 1950's suburbia minus most of the prejudices with the motto "Est Normalis Nova Impar (The Odd New Normal)". The Government officials supposed to run it were blacklisted for "being communist sympathizers" for various unsupported reasons in McCarthy's Witch Hunts. The town is still running on the funds from selling man-made precious metals and stone while in the guise of an unprofitable dying mining town on IRS records. (u/Th3R3493r)
- Carne Quemada, Texas - A small unassuming city founded near several important intersections after the rise of the railroad in America. If there was a head of livestock bound for the East Coast from West Coast, It went through Carney before heading further. On the surface, It is just another drive-by town with the headquarter of a small family ran butcher shop/BBQ joint, but, it is ran by puppet officials controlled a old money family, Navaneeth, that specializes in the Arcane Arts and Dark Arts. The family patriarch is reportedly over 2800 years old but still looks to be in his late 50 and in the body of an Olympian. This family has their hands in the rise and fall of nearly every major meat based company since the apex of Rome. 'Word to the Wise' is do NOT try to spread vegan or animal rights propaganda in the town unless you want to "go missing" and end up as the unquestioning "circuitry" of the eco-friendly automation in a far off slaughterhouse. (u/Th3R3493r)
- Capitol City, Ambiguous America - A large, metropolitan city with an Important American Landmark (capitol, museum, etc.). The city magically shifts forms and locations from time to time, leaving the inhabitants with no memory of it. No matter the form or location of the city it always represents an important part of American society. Capitol City exists within its own bubble, where people forget that leaving is an option. Whenever an alien, supervillain, kaiju, or magic-user attacks, chances are, it'll be here. The city has its own stock of good magic-users, superheroes, and military units, but these seem to shift in and out of being depending on the "genre" of the current disaster. In reality, Capitol City was created by a guild of powerful sorcerers who decided there should be somewhere on Earth to absorb disasters. It acts as a magnet for bad things and changes depending on what is needed to protect the rest of the world. (u/relinquisher42)

Interpreting Madam Nazar's Sayings
Thanks to
u/Kaimeera for posting all of the voice lines
Here is every Madam Nazar voice line and my own/generally accepted interpretation of each one. With so many easter eggs packed into one cabinet, I believe this is Rockstar's biggest "hint dump" yet, and a clear indication they haven't given up on us mystery hunters.
If I am wrong on anything or you know one I missed please let me know in the comments.
- 0x00408006 = ~z~Have you seen... Gavin? -Reference to the infamous NPC searching for Gavin across the world of RDR2.
- 0x01682558 = ~z~I see many shadowy figures, sent to kill you... -Could be a number of things. Many things come to kill you in both GTAV and RDR2, but I don't know what could be considered "shadowy", outside of the disappearing aliens in the Gunrunning easter egg.
- 0x02455C87 = ~z~I see a three-legged man. And a long-legged woman. And they are happy. -Lester and Georgina after the Casino Heist. The "third leg" is Lester's cane.
- 0x04026A1E = ~z~I see a... strange man in a tall hat. He frightens me. -The Strange Man that appears in both RDR and RDR2.
- 0x0BC2CA7C = ~z~I smell lupins. So many lupins, they fill the valley floor... -Lupins are flowering plants. There are many valleys and plains filled with them in RDR2.
- 0x0C906264 = ~z~Good, I have been waiting for you. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x0F60D1BE = ~z~I see a man. His name is... Johnny. He sits at home, but he longs to be on the spot again. -Reference to the GTA Online mechanic, who frequently refers to himself as "Johnny on the spot" when called.
- 0x1B98B32A = ~z~I see bitterness, and ambition, and madness. They shall all come to this city... -Reference to Michael, Franklin, and Trevor respectively.
- 0x1DA394D2 = ~z~I see the heavens opening, and the rain. -Both GTAV and RDR2 have post-rain sunshine as a weather effect. Some easter eggs are also rain-sensitive.
- 0x1E00F616 = ~z~I see a vengeful figure from your past, and a reward for your death... -Arthur has a bounty on his head for most of RDR2. The vengeful figure could refer to Dutch or Micah.
- 0x2B1ABB8E = ~z~I see mists and fog. -Either a generic fortune teller voice line, or refers to the intense fog in the forested regions of RDR2.
- 0x3AF43DBB = ~z~I see palm trees high in the sky, and shimmering pools of warm water, and people in, oh, oh dear... -I'm not too sure on this one, but it could potentially be a reference to the tendency for cars to end up in pools around Vinewood Hills after big stunt jumps.
- 0x3D56B345 = ~z~You were looking for Nazar, I think. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x4A17A267 = ~z~I see danger in your future. You must take care crossing the road... -Getting hit by cars is a common problem in GTAV, as is running over people with your horse in towns in RDR2.
- 0x4CE892E1 = ~z~Kifflom... -The signature saying of the Epsilon Program.
- 0x4D535F3B = ~z~Ah yes, the mists clear... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x4F2D953F = ~z~I see numbers... one, two three. -One third of the phone number easter egg.
- 0x4F9C57D0 = ~z~Nazar, teller of fortunes, finder of lost things... -Madam Nazar offers the Collector role in Red Dead Online, hence "finder of lost things".
- 0x5AD8779F = ~z~I see a rooftop, and a briefcase, and death. No, no, no, no, no, it is not... not a rooftop... -Reference to the GTA Online mission Rooftop Rumble, which was extremely popular for money grinding in the first year of release. Despite the name, this mission does not actually take place on a rooftop.
- 0x5C41619D = ~z~Yes, all is clear... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x5D6EF371 = ~z~You were looking for me, yes? -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x5EDCDFD8 = ~z~Hmm, interesting... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x5F900619 = ~z~I see you in high spirits. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x6FE9F6D6 = ~z~Too soon, too soon have you come back... -Possible reference to the player repeatedly using the machine to hear many voice lines.
- 0x7B74C501 = ~z~I see a web, still tangled after years of unravelling. Will you be the one, I wonder? -Reference to either the spider web easter egg, or the Chiliad mystery in general. I believe this remark is a clue that there is more to solve, and a challenge of who will be the first to do so.
- 0x7EC016A1 = ~z~I see a beautiful diamond. The largest in the world. Ah, it is cracked... -The grand Diamond Casino and Resort being broken into and robbed.

- 0x8D17F800 = ~z~I see, I see... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x8F6A344E = ~z~I see a lazy river, flowing by a scorched town... -There is a town burnt to a crisp in RDR2.
- 0x26F2F1F2 = ~z~I see a ridge in the land, and a falconer, and the black smoke rising to the east... -This has to be an RDR2 reference, though I don't remember any falconers. It is possible I missed a detail, it is a very long game.
- 0x37C69C95 = ~z~I see the sky covered by clouds. -A cloudy sky is the loading/respawning screen in RDR2. GTA loading screens are also often cloudy.
- 0x40EB3A6A = ~z~I think you were meant to stop by here, yes? -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x71B9557C = ~z~Madam will be here when you return. -Generic fortune teller voice line. She indeed is confined to her glass cabinet.

- 0x80B3DB7F = ~z~I see great and furious judgement descending from the clouds to strike you down... -God? Lighting strikes? The Thor hammer easter egg in RDR2? The orbital cannon in GTA Online?
- 0x86A7C5E6 = ~z~Come closer, Nazar wishes to speak to you. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x87B9130C = ~z~Safe travels. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x93CA7E4A = ~z~You were looking for me, yes? -Generic fortune teller voice line.

- 0x97B943D7 = ~z~I hear a voice calling again and again, forlorn. A relative. He wants to do something. -Reference to Roman excessively calling Niko to go bowling in GTA IV.
- 0x178ED0A8 = ~z~I see the ruins of a battle fought long ago... -There is a Civil War battlefield point of interest in RDR2.
- 0x181E4BBE = ~z~I see a man in a white shirt, and a red vest. He is afraid to go to work... -The Diamond Casino valet Felipe, who players routinely murder for fun.
- 0x203F9619 = ~z~Madam Nazar has a beautiful collection. And she is generous. Go, see what trophy she gives you. -Madam Nazar buys valuable collectibles from the player in Red Dead Online. Could she also unlock a trophy in the arcade trophy shelf, like the one for owning all arcade games?

- 0x645D35FE = ~z~I see wet ground, and figures in the dark, and the spirit of a lonely girl... -Probably the Agnes Dowd ghost easter egg in RDR2.
- 0x746E2173 = ~z~Ah, you have found me. Come, come, hear your fortune. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x811A2BFA = ~z~You seek some purpose, some meaning in the chaos of this life... -Many theorize the answer to the Chiliad Mystery is some underlying karmatic "true ending" to the game. Part of Story Mode's main conflict is Michael dealing with some existential quandaries about morality and death.
- 0x5895B9F1 = ~z~I see thunder, and lightning. -Thunderstorm weather is present in many easter eggs across both games.
- 0x6233DB6A = ~z~No, no, no, no, no... You must be patient, my love... -We need to wait for more updates to further the mystery?
- 0x8887A74F = ~z~I see... a bright sun in a clear sky. -Another weather line, but there usually isn't anything special associated with sunny weather.
- 0x9276E6BB = ~z~Remember, Madam Nazar is always listening. Ask and you may receive. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x10124A92 = ~z~At the stroke of twelve, when the moon is fat, the beast will awaken within you. -The Beast, a werewolf the player can turn into in some Freemode Events and Adversary Modes in GTA Online, as well as a secret Director Mode actor for beating him in his secret fight against Bigfoot.
- 0x33199ECB = ~z~Welcome to Nazar's cabinet of wonders. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x71588BAE = ~z~I see a scorched land. A river along a border that cannot be crossed... -The border of Mexico is visible in RDR2, but cannot be crossed.
- 0x77702F37 = ~z~I see a secluded isle, and upon it I see, ah... it is gone. -???
- 0x96949B4F = ~z~Your line is tangled, but I see it now... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0x813078CC = ~z~I see numbers... seven, six, four. -One third of the phone number easter egg.
- 0x5085380D = ~z~I have revealed your path. Now... you must walk it... -Potentially a hint that Nazar's sayings are a clue toward something.
- 0x34880013 = ~z~The future cannot be changed. Return when it has become the past... -Francis Sinclair's appearance in RDR2 introduces an aspect of time travel into the mystery. Some parts of GTAV story mode occur before online, maybe there is something to be found by going back to the beginning?
- 0xA0CBFA2E = ~z~Madam Nazar sees your future, shall I tell you? -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xA76B6838 = ~z~Remember, the stars favor those who leave no stone unturned. -Much like "he was wrong to start his hunt on a Tuesday," this is as blatant as Rockstar can get at telling us there is still mystery to uncover. The unsolved Panoramic Map in RDR2 does portray star positions.
- 0xA84C88A8 = ~z~Your every move is watched. Be careful... avoid even the smallest misdemeanor... -Minor crimes can get you wanted in both games. Could also be another suggestion at the karmatic/pacifist playthrough theory.
- 0xA370B8EA = ~z~Safe travels. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xA507B91E = ~z~The future is open to me... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xA3075AF7 = ~z~I see beautiful trees in an arid land... -Another line talking about trees. Could refer to trees in the desert in both games. Los Santos/California has trees grow despite desert climate because of irrigation systems.

- 0xAC37F487 = ~z~I see a door in the shape of a circle, and behind it endless opportunities opening to you, if you are able to adapt. -The circular vault door of the Diamond Casino, protecting cash, gold, artwork, and diamonds. "Able to adapt" refers to the random spawns and different approaches of the heist.

- 0xB05CDEAD = ~z~Ahh, of course... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xB4DECB38 = ~z~I see a face beneath the ice. Yet, not the face of a man, or a woman... -The alien under the ice in North Yankton in Prologue.
- 0xB6FA4AA9 = ~z~I see many people bowing down before a yellow statue of a... no, no that cannot be right. -???
- 0xB7BEACD4 = ~z~I see an emerald covered in filth, lying on a beautiful plain... -Likely refers to Emerald Ranch in RDR2. It is a farming community, so manure and livestock are everywhere (filth) and it is indeed located in a plain.
- 0xB8C7E398 = ~z~Come back soon. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xB1172B6F = ~z~Ah, it is you. I'm glad you have come. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xC5BC5495 = ~z~The spirits draw close... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xCBF36971 = ~z~I see grizzled mountains, and hungry eyes... -Could refer to the Grizzlies region of RDR2. Hungry eyes might be that of bears or wolves.
- 0xCC31A50E = ~z~I see numbers... five, one, one, two. -One third of the phone number easter egg.
- 0xDAF70F50 = ~z~I see a man with red hair, and a red mark upon his face. He does not belong here. -Francis Sinclair. He really doesn't belong here, as he presumably time traveled outside of his own reality.
- 0xE08ED444 = ~z~I see many cars in a white room. No, no, no... they are all the same car. And I see great wealth. And great boredom. This is a strange vision... -Reference to car duplication glitches, a popular way to make money in GTA Online.
- 0xE113C9F4 = ~z~The future is open to me... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xED3B9610 = ~z~I see true love in your future, but only if you act quickly! -???
- 0xEF1DAB95 = ~z~Take care... Your next drink will go to your head... -The Online Protagonist will pass out and wake up elsewhere after enough alcohol, which is necessary for the UFO tattoo easter egg. There are some moments in RDR2 where drinks have similar effects, such as the Witch's Brew, or the drink offered at Aberdeen Pig Farm.
- 0xEF6F7672 = ~z~I see... snow! -Both games feature snowy weather online for the holiday season.
- 0xF0CA2115 = ~z~Mine is the all-seeing eye. -All seeing eyes are a common visual in GTAV, especially on the SecuroServ app and the Chiliad Mural. They've even been featured in official artwork on Rockstar's website.
- 0xF8E39799 = ~z~Nazar sees all... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xF84EB9E1 = ~z~Welcome. -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xF9577296 = ~z~I see... a man with evil intentions. He comes to take what is yours... -Could be any number of antagonists, Micah, Dutch, the Pinkertons, Devin Weston, Steve Haines, Avon Hertz, etc.
- 0xFC3052B7 = ~z~I see a great stone window, looking down upon a cold river... -???
- 0xFCDA6BA2 = ~z~I see cliffs in a silent desert. -???
- 0xFDB09265 = ~z~No, no, no, no, no, the mists do not clear... You must give me time... -Generic fortune teller voice line.
- 0xFEA2C689 = ~z~Look into my eyes.- Generic fortune teller voice line.
Don't forget this isn't the first fortune teller in GTAV, as Michael, Trevor and Franklin can use the Psychic Shoutout website in story mode.

Idea: next iOS update should focus on bettering and expanding existing features, call it an “enhancement update” if you will...
Let me just say I am loving the generations and fame additions. Next up though I feel we should have an update that just focuses on the features already in the game and making them better. Some suggestions for such... bear with me, this is a fairly long list:
—
1. 👨🏻🦱 - I’d love for the ability to select a custom character’s race, and their starting stats (looks, smarts, etc) as well. Also, I’d love to select which country they appear in, cause it’s weird to have a friend named “Bob” pop up in China.
2. 🌎 - We should have the ability to adopt children from nations other than the one you’re living in, or have someone who immigrated from a foreign country periodically pop up as a date option.
3. 🏠 - The ability to rent out houses, as well as to rent rather than buy houses of your own — also, I’d love for the following house type to be added: greenhouse (an environmentally friendly house with lots of glass and solar panels).
4. 🛥 - More assets beyond houses and cars, like the ability to buy a phone, yacht, or private plane. Also the ability to use vehicle assets, like click on a car and “take it for a spin,” or go on vacation with a private plane.
5. 🎰 - New casino mini games, such as roulette and a slot machine.
6. 🎥 - More movie genre options, like horror 👻, fantasy 🏰, or adult 😏. Also, the option to buy concessions, like have “go see movie with concessions” and “w/o” options, picking the latter option adds 4% to happiness, but drains bank account and possibly health.
7. 🏜 - Idea for vacations: alongside being able to travel to cities, have also the option to travel to landmarks, like Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Mount Everest, Great Wall of China, and more.
8. ⛓ - The ability to contact family members while in prison by phone, perhaps up to a max of four or five per year, just so your relationship bars with them don’t just dwindle till your release. Also be able to have visits if you’ve had “good behavior.”
9. 🐠 - I’m quite satisfied with pet options especially with the last update, though there are two I’d still love added: platypuses and blue tang fish (yes I want my own Perry and Dory).
10. ☠️ - I’d love if in the cemetery, gravestones from the same family lineage were grouped together as one slot in the list, like as the “Johnson Legacy” for example.
11. ✈️ - If you immigrate to a different country, you should have the option to fly back for any funerals of family members. Also, if you go on vacation to the city you emigrated from, the relationship bars of any family members still there should go up.
12. 🏙 - The ability to move to a different city within the same country, and also have a chance for your parents to move you around during your childhood (many kids don’t stay in one place, after all😉).
13. 👨👩👧👦 - More family interactions. “Play a Game♟” for example which would have the chance to raise the relationship bar, or lower it if the game gets heated. Also, for your lover exclusively, the option to “send a suggestive pic📱” with the chance they’ll either respond well or poorly to it.
14. ⛪️ - Parents’ religiousness should have a bigger impact on childhood. The possibility a super religious parent would disapprove of your lover for example, or that they may try to set you up with one. They could also argue with you if you have a teen pregnancy.
15. 👥 - The chance of having more than one older sibling upon starting a new life. The chance of having quads when having children (slim, but a chance), and the very slim chance to be born as part of a set of triplets or quads.
16. 👩🏻🦰 - More character icon looks. The chance of having straight 👨 or curly 👨🦱 hair. The chance of being born as a redhead 👨🦰, which would vary by country. Also, in Muslim countries, women characters should use the hijab 🧕 emoji.
17. 🧘♂️ - More mind + body options.
• To raise smarts, options like “complete a puzzle 🧩” or “read a nonfiction book 📒”
• To raise happiness and health, options like “go golfing 🏌️” or “read a novel 📚”
• To raise looks, options like “go for a jog 🏃♂️” or “take a shower 🧖♂️”
18. 🤰 - If abortion is illegal in the country you’re in, you should still be able to try and get one, with two options: “Safe abortion,” which would have chance of arrest, or “unsafe abortion,” which wouldn’t have chance of arrest, but chance of injury or death. Also, men shouldn’t be able to force women to have abortions.
19. 👨👦 - If you continue on as your child after you die, and your child is retired, it should show their occupation as retired, not unemployed, and their prior occupation should appear on their gravestone when they die.
20. 💴 - More diversity with currency symbols. Countries like Japan and China, which use the Yen and Yuan respectively, should use the “¥” symbol.
21. 🏥 - Healthcare should be free at point of service in countries with universal healthcare systems, like the U.K., Canada, or Sweden. Also, there should be a chance that a child of yours gets sick in their childhood, especially if you don’t vaccinate, and you have to take them to a doctor.
22. 🎫 - Sometimes you get pop ups involving concerts, but there should also be an option in activities to go to one. Similar to vacations, it would have a drop down menu of artists to choose from, as well as option to choose class of seats, and how many people to take with you.
23. 🐶 - A new interaction with pets should be the ability to “train them,” which would make their smarts go up every so often.
24. 🌙 - A dark mode for those of us who play at night. Seen this idea pop up elsewhere, so figured I’d reiterate it.
25. 📜 - More options with the will, like the ability to leave it to grandkids and the ability to select who to pass on houses, cars or pets to plus have them passed on separate from your bank balance, like have one kid get the house and another get the bank money.
26. 😇 - Show the Karma bar in stats, and add options like “give to charity” into the game as a means to raise it. Also, and this is an entirely new idea, I think it’d be cool if your level of karma at death affects your stats in your next life. :)
27. 🇺🇳 - New countries! Ideas for such: Iceland, Poland, Switzerland, Lithuania, Thailand, Mongolia, Pakistan, Nepal, Madagascar, Morocco, D.R. of the Congo, and Fiji. (My personal top three desires are Thailand, Mongolia, and D.R. of the Congo).
28. 🇺🇸 - I’ve seen a lot of “Sweet Home Alabama” types on the BitLife page, so I propose a new city for the United States: Montgomery, Alabama. Also, I’d love for Honolulu, Anchorage, New Orleans, and Salt Lake City to be added.
29. 🏀 - More stuff with sports.
• Sometimes you see things like “you took X to a football game” for example, so that should be an option in activities. You’d have different sports to choose, like genres of movies, such as football, baseball, soccer, or cricket. Also, the option to take family members with you.
• Secondly, now that we have fame, we should definitely have a professional sports career added into jobs, as well as a sports degree added to university (that would be so fitting with the new option to buy kids into university).
30. ⚫️ - More job options! I’ve already made a list of this (here:
Jobs Ideas but to highlight a few:
• 🍭 - Candy Store Worker
• ♥️ - Cardiologist
• 🎞 - Film Maker
• ⛏/⚱️ - Miner (Coal/Gold)
• Also, the pro sports career which I listed earlier.
31. 👺 - More crime options!
• Kidnapping (👶) as one. It would make a child appear in your relationships section (similar to cars in assets with stealing cars), they’d start out at 0 with their relationship bar, and you’d have the option to choose how to interact with them. Obviously, each year (until they turn 18) you’d have chance of being arrested, or being arrested right off the bat.
• Hire a Hitman (🔫) as an alternative to murdering someone yourself. You’d have several choices for hire, and the more money you pay, the better the odds of success and (more importantly) not getting caught.
• Embezzlement (👔) - steal something from your place of work and then sell it to make money. Your place of work would determine what’s up for grabs, like if you’re a pharmacist for example, you could sell drugs.
• Robbery Options - have option to select what type of building to rob alongside a house. Add in the option to rob a bank or store.
32. 🎀 - New ribbons!!
• Gold Digger (⚱️) - marry only wealthy partners, make at least $10M from divorce settlements or their inheritances.
• Debtor (🤐) - take out loans whenever given the option, such as for university, when buying a house and car, etc. Die with a negative net worth of at least -$1M.
• Foolhardy (🍀) - win a lottery prize of at least $1M before age 40, squander it all on extravagant purchases, die before age 80 with a negative net worth and depression.
• R Rated (👠) - become a pornographer, get famous, only ever do nude related things in “fame” section of activities, go clubbing a lot, always hook up whenever given the chance, get happy ending for massages whenever given chance too. In general, be a dirty person.
• Darwinist (🦁) - have at least ten instances of a pet eating another pet during your lifetime, and always reward the pet whenever they do it.
• Father and Son (👨👦) - live a life as a
male and continue as your
son after you die. Live that son’s life in a very similar manner. Get the same occupation, the same type of house, get married if your father was married, etc.
—
That is all, but yes, in general an update that focuses on enhancing and expanding existing features as opposed to one that adds a whole new concept I think should be next in line. There’s just so much that could be done :) comment your thoughts and ideas below👇

My attempted guide to live low stakes poker in Vegas
Thought this could be handy to some people heading out there, especially at this time of year. I'm a BE micro stakes donk who plays online for fun with some casino experience in London, UK, decided to head out to Vegas to see the sights and blow some money on live poker for the experience. Spent some time googling before going because there are so many rooms that it can be tricky choosing one to play at, here's my take on it. I went for 10 days and got back yesterday, only playing 1/2 and a few donkaments.
Some tips before going - most of the rooms are pretty similar in terms of quality, mostly tourists/old men with one or two decent young players. Each room will run different promos of some kind or another, I would recommend downloading the 'Bravo Poker Live' app and spending 15 minutes or so having a flick through the poker rooms - you can star the ones you are interested in plus keep an eye out for other games you might want to play (few rooms ran 1/1 PLO for example). It also shows live wait list and how many tables are running that I found to be pretty accurate. The app also details all of the promotions that the poker rooms run, for example how much you get paid for a royal etc. Also make sure you sign up for the reward cards, it's free to do, takes a few minutes and pretty much everywhere will give you $2 an hour towards food. Also - all drinks are free everywhere, including alcohol! You just need to tip the cocktail waitresses.
Ballys
I really liked it here and turned up one morning before going Grand Canyon and it had the most insane game I've ever seen - they run a (n optional) $20 straddle from any position and some guy and his friend were doing it for like an hour straight. Good cocktail service and friendly dealers, normally was at least two tables going during the day, definitely the softest games around without a notable absence of pros/crushers, I think this is because they don't do promos. They do, however, give you a free buffet when you play for fours hours or more which was awesome and I took advantage of a lot of times before eating and going elsewhere.
MGM
I liked this place because of the promo it ran - if you hit a full house you get a ticket into a raffle (they just put all the tickets into a box) and draw a ticket once an hour, if your ticket gets pulled you win $200 in cash. I was lucky enough to win it once. They also have a good full house promo thing where they put particular full houses up on the wall (for example 555TT and JJJ99) and you win a certain amount if you hit them (it was $1500 the last day I played). Pretty active room with a lot of tourists (especially crazy on Saturday night after some MMA fight or something happened in the hotel) but I did notice a lot of the same guys sipping water playing through the early hours feeding on the fish. Overall though a decent room plus you get $2 an hour in comps for food that you can use at Starbucks as well as other places in the casino. Side note - I've never seen so many insanely hot women in one place. The poker room is just off from a nightclub and you get a steady stream of some of the world's most beautiful women stumbling out wearing next to nothing on weekend evenings. Someone at our table actually paid a guy $20 at the table next to us to move so he had a better view!
Planet Hollywood
The atmosphere in here is unlike anywhere else, tunes are pumping with 10/10 birds dancing next to naked on the Blackjack tables opposite, was like playing in the middle of a nightclub. There isn't really a room as such, it's just a load of tables in the centre of the casino. Was one of the busier places, often 10+ tables running in evenings. This is the kind of place that attracts guys buying in for the maximum wearing jewel encrusted watches on both wrists and showing their buddies sitting behind them their cards before shoving on a bluff. The music brings a very noticeable tempo to the game, people play and bet insanely quickly and nearly everyone was drinking booze in the evenings, not really the place for old man nits. A guy hit a royal when I was there and got $500. Alas, the atmosphere got to me and I ended up getting pissed as a fart and dropping a lot so be careful if you get caught up in atmospheres, great action room though, probably my favourite 'unique' experience.
Excalibur
Cool room that did cheap tourneys ($45) a few times a day that turn into 5BB shove fest after an hour or so. Easy room with a lot of drunk tourists, I actually regret not coming back here and checking it out more. They do a thing where if your aces get cracked you get a free spin on a 'wheel of fortune' type thing - most of the prizes are $25 but you have the chance to win a few hundred. Seemed easy level of play with little or no pros/regs
Mandalay Bay
Only played here for a few hours, nice room next to a huge sportsbook but the tournament structure was horrible - I stupidly registered 30 minutes late and got like 10BB if that. Cash was full of people playing at the hotel and limping every hand but I only played a few hours on like a Wednesday morning so not sure what it's like in the evenings.
Flamingo
Action! Didn't play much but seemingly everyone drinks and the games are fast and loose, definitely worth checking this place out. They run 1/1 PLO too but I couldn't get a game going when I was there
Caesars Palace
I turned up here at like 5am one morning and gave it a go, left after 30 minutes. Table was full of absolute beasts with $1k + stacks, extremely noticeable step up in quality compared to other rooms and not just marginal either, I was well out of my depth. It was a really nice room to play in and the casino was cool, I was going to give it another go but didn't get around to it, I assumed there must be a lot of fish if this many reg pros were playing.
Bellagio
Really nice room and probably the most elegant casino in Vegas, twice tried getting in a game here but the waitlist was like an hour long both times (38 people!) so gave it a miss. Twice I showed up and gawped at Doyle Brunson like a tourist, also saw Negreanu as well. Looked like a lot of big pros really do play here, they have a large selection of games including mixed and high stakes. Kinda regret not sticking around and playing here just in the hopes of getting a table change somewhere near Bobby's room so I could lean over and watch those guys for an hour or so, I suspect I'm not the only one thinking like that. FYI 1/3 is the minimum game here.
Golden Nugget
This is downtown so about a 30 minutes bus ride from the strip depending on traffic. Quite a lot of tables in a tight room and it's the only poker room on Downtown (I think? Binions only had tourneys running IIRC) so you get a lot of drunk tourists wandering in off of the Freemont street show. I actually had my best session here after shoving the turn with a J on a 9TQK board and getting called by two people without a straight, this should tell you everything you need to know about the calibre of play.
Well hopefully this gives people an idea of what they're heading into, happy to answer other Vegas specific questions if anyone has any, I hardly slept and smashed the shit out of the city for a week so feel I picked up quite a bit about how it works now. Overall the games are very easy compared to your average 1/2 in London for example. Best week of my life, fuck coming home :(

Could the gaming industry potentially be the catalyst for blockchain mass adoption?
| A few months ago, our community participated in a referendum to decide on which sector we would engage on our ICO platform once our products and services are launched. Our referendum is a chance for our CHSB token holders to participate in SwissBorg’s decision-making process by casting a vote and in return receiving a reward for their contribution and helping us understand the true desires of our community. Like many of you are already aware, the SwissBorg community voted on “Gaming” to be the primary sector on our first ICO Platform during our Referendum 2. With the recent launch of our ICO Competition, I thought it would be the perfect time to discuss with the community about the potential role of the gaming industry in helping us, crypto and blockchain enthusiasts, get a step closer to the mass adoption of blockchain technology. Just to get it out there, I am by no means a blockchain/crypto expert but solely an avid believer in such technology of which I wholeheartedly believe will see mass adoption similar to that of the Internet (not same pace). Before I talk about how gaming could be a catalyst for mass adoption, let’s first take a look at the estimated crypto user growth compared to that of Internet user growth to visualise how close we are from mass adoption. https://preview.redd.it/scud7y7yw3y11.png?width=405&format=png&auto=webp&s=1418e48e465481d5157604f74c30d0e013ceef83 As you can see in the graph illustrated above, we are tracking relatively close to that of the early days of the Internet. If we were to believe that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology would to follow the similar trajectory of the Internet, we would be roughly in the year of 1994. However, if we were to examine things a little closer, we can easily identify that user adoption and retention is actually a massive problem hindering the progress of the blockchain and cryptosphere. Below is a screenshot of the number of daily active users in the past 24 hours of the most popular DApps on the Ethereum blockchain off of DappRadar. https://preview.redd.it/c6nr03u3x3y11.png?width=590&format=png&auto=webp&s=118c5febacb303d2a3bf2861dac9a1852742ca22 What I’ve come to realisation after taking a look at this is that the mostly used DApps fall into three main categories: - Exchanges and market places
- Gaming
- Gambling/casino
Furthermore, I was surprised to see that THE MOST POPULAR DApps on the Ethereum blockchain only had 500-1500 daily active users. If we were to add up all daily active users of DApps on DappRadar, it would still not make up 10,000 daily active users. For context and comparison, Facebook has 1.5 billion active users on a daily basis and PubG’s (PlayersUnknown’s Battleground) all time high DAU was 3.2 million. The reason I am bringing up this point is that on the grand scheme of things, with less than 10,000 DAU between all Ethereum DApps, we are still very far from mainstream adoption. So what is stopping Blockchain technology from mass adoption apart from regulations? - Lack of a DApp that incentivises millions of users from downloading and using the application, (My opinion: porn and means of communication such as E-mails for the Internet). At the university I am currently studying at, we learned about Peter Thiel’s 10x rule which states that to build a successful startup, “You have to be 10 times better than second best.” According to his theory, if your product isn't 10 times better, it will be hard to sell in a crowded market.
- User experiences (UX) that make DApps significantly more difficult and tedious to use than centralised applications. DApps must be as easy to use as regular applications in order for them to be adopted by the general public.
So how could gaming help? In many ways, gaming and the blockchain are a perfect fit. They attract the same demographics and dwell in the same virtual realm with virtual assets and digital money being part of the industry for more than the past 10 years. The gaming industry is currently composed of an estimated global audience of between 2.2 and 2.6 billion users with a projected revenue of US $137 billion in 2018. With this number predicted to go up to 180.1 billion by the end of 2021, there is no doubt that the gaming sector is truly thriving. Some gamer statistics: - 84.7% of gamers are willing to download free games
- 55.7% of gamers are willing to pay for games
- 4.4% of gamers download free games everyday
84.7% of 2.2 billion gamers are willing to download free games = Roughly 1.8 billion gamers 55.7% of 2.2 billion gamers are willing to pay for games = Roughly 1.2 billion gamers 4.4% of 2.2 billion gamers are downloading games everyday = Roughly 96,800,000 gamers Games may potentially provide the missing link for mass adoption as they do not fall into the same principle of having to strongly incentivise users in order for them to download or purchase the game. As long as the game receives enough exposure and seems to be entertaining to play, gamers would be willing to give it a try. Furthermore, games also do not “need” to be 10x better than previous games as gamers are often looking for new games to play. They also do not need to understand what blockchain is in order to play a game as it can be downloaded normally off the app-store likewise of centralised applications. Additionally, blockchain also offers the gaming industry benefits to jump ship as well as solutions to numerous problems that they are currently facing. - True virtual goods ownership: Through the concept of tokenization, any virtual item can be represented as a token on the blockchain which will then create a virtual economy circulating around digital assets. Unlike the current limited redeemable options of virtual items, gamers will now be able to use their rewards and in-game virtual assets in any way they would like.
- Greater security from hacking, cheating and fraudulent activities
- Decentralisation: Blockchain technology offers the gaming industry decentralisation that will be vital to a speedy scaling process as well as placing the power back into the hands of the gamers, who are the ones driving the industry.
- Many more…
I don’t want to go to deeply into the benefits and how blockchain will redefine the gaming industry because I wrote a Whitepaper on this subject that will soon be released by SwissBorg. To those of you who are interested, you should take a read when it comes out! I firmly believe that all these benefits and advantages of implementing blockchain within the gaming industry will naturally introduce millions of gamers to the blockchain. In fact, gaming could be the platform through which many people will acquire their first cryptocurrencies rather than using exchanges. Not only is it very confusing and very limiting for newcomers to use exchanges to acquire cryptos, they are also required to complete the KYC/AML and have a bank account, whereas gamers just need to play games to be able to acquire cryptos. Although it is too early to tell, is without a doubt that gaming could potentially be the driver for blockchain technology for such reasons stated above. There is one thing we can say with certainty: blockchain will provide the gaming industry with a transparent, egalitarian and, most importantly, decentralised ecosystem for users and developers alike. Thank you so much for your time and I would love to hear about your thoughts on the implications of the gaming industry within the blockchain. https://blog.liveedu.tv/10-interesting-2018-video-game-industry-statistics-trends-data/ https://www.limelight.com/resources/white-papestate-of-online-gaming-2018/#rate https://medium.com/loom-network/games-will-be-the-catalyst-for-blockchain-mass-adoption-628f818c6c87 https://medium.com/@dennyk/crypto-and-bitcoin-adoption-how-far-along-are-we-really-in-this-rally-79b5539dc222 https://medium.com/@mccannatron/12-graphs-that-show-just-how-early-the-cryptocurrency-market-is-653a4b8b2720 https://thenextweb.com/entrepreneu2015/07/13/the-10x-rule-for-great-startup-ideas/ submitted by Hyun_Swissborg to swissborg [link] [comments] |
Overcoming mobile game addiction [x-post from /r/Gaming]
Hey everyone! I have been free from mobile games for almost two weeks now, and it feels great! I wanted to share my story to help other people who may struggle with a similar issue, and to build awareness. This issue goes almost completely under the radar and deserves some more attention.
I am a 30-year-old single male, living in the United States. My first experience with mobile games was with two games, Puzzle and Dragons and a brief stint with Spirit Stones. I am a big fan of the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, and I happened to stumble across a news story about Puzzle and Dragons adding an Evangelion collaboration. I was interested in seeing what this was about, so I downloaded the game and was hooked for about a year, playing multiple hours a day, every day. This game had special events that would happen based on the hour of the day, so if there was a special event, I would plan out my days to some extent to make sure I could get the special in-game rewards, doesn’t matter if I was at work or at home. During this same time a friend told me about a game he started called Spirit Stones. Both of these games got me very comfortable spending real money to buy in game items, currency, rewards, etc. Spirit Stones only lasted maybe a month, but I spent a lot of time and money on it while playing. The other notable thing that happened with Spirit Stones was my friend getting out of the game at the same as I did, as we realized the game was toxic, a time and money sink, and it wasn’t going anywhere. Unfortunately, I kept going with other games. Back to P&D. So, after my year with Puzzle and Dragons, playing all the time every day, spending a bunch of money along the way, I finally had enough. I can’t recall exactly at the time what caused the decision, but I was able to sell my account for a few hundred dollars, which was nothing compared to how many actual dollars I put into the account, much less the amount of time spent to build up everything in the game.
Fast forward to two years ago. I see an advertisement for a game called Soccer Spirits. It looked interesting so I decided to download it. I was instantly hooked, as the story played out like a Visual Novel, the gameplay was unique, the art was a very nice anime style, and there were a lot of great characters. Soccer Spirits would dominate a lot of my life for two years. There was infinite grinding to do in this game, to level up one character completely it took a long time and a lot of resources, and there were a LOT of characters in this game. There would be special events on some weekends to power up items in the game and I would spend hours leveling things up, there were times I would be out at a restaurant and I would have the game going on auto mode to keep it going. Probably the most fiendish thing I have ever done is when I was driving myself to a casino about an hour and a half away during one of these events, and the whole time I was playing on auto mode continuing to power up in the game. And speaking of casinos, I will get to this more later, but a big thing with these mobile games is addiction. It is a lot like having a slot machine mixed with a game that is on your iphone that never leaves you.
Over the past two years I also played additional mobile games in conjunction with Soccer Spirits: Fate: Grand Order, Fire Emblem: Heroes, Mandrake Boys, and King’s Raid. I spent real money on every mobile game I have played. It is so easy to do, once I got comfortable doing it, it was just over for me, I had no self-control. Soccer Spirits was by far the worst, they had $100 in game packages for tons of currency to buy characters and do character draws, as well as giving power up resources, and special incentives like unique skins with new art for the characters. It is embarrassing to talk about, but I seriously must have spent over $5000 on this game, it could have been more, maybe up to even like $8000 or so, but I am not completely sure.
The money was always something that I could write off in my mind as “hey I am playing a game all the time, I put in a lot of effort so it is ok”. I would feel really guilty and bad for a few seconds as I was purchasing things, and then as soon as the in-game purchase was made and I got the rewards and could do fun things the feeling of elation came over me and the guilt was gone. This was a common occurrence and I bought a ton of these $100 packages for various in game rewards over the two years I played.
Beyond the money, there was the amount of time spent playing. As I mentioned at the beginning, I am 30 years old and single. I kept telling myself, “oh I am sure I can quit any time if I had anything else better to do”. It was an unhealthy cycle, I told myself I had nothing better to do so I kept playing mobile games all the time, and because I was playing mobile games I never tried to do anything else productive with my life. Any time I was watching a show or movie, I had my mobile game running – basically any time I was at home the game would be running and I would be doing something in the game. When the game wasn’t running I had my phone or browser open checking the community spots to look up game info or discuss the game.
I do want to add that while playing Soccer Spirits I was active in the “community” (like on the sub-reddit) and in a constant chat (like discord) with my in-game guild mates always talking about the game. A lot of the people were fun to talk to and were pretty nice. The people made me think I was being social and having a good time. But just like if you are an alcoholic or addicted to anything else, being around other people that are immersed in your addiction is a terrible experience. So I cut everything off, I left the chat group giving a final message without waiting for any replies (which I am sure seemed somewhat cold to the people I had been talking to constantly for months) and I left the subreddit.
So what finally changed? For me it was something that was building for a while, I knew that after 2 years of hardcore, dedicated playing with Soccer Spirits there was not THAT much more I could really do or accomplish in the game. I feel like I am a pretty smart and objective person in general, I knew everything that was going on, but because of the addiction I kept playing. This is also where my in-game friends and guildmates actually made things slightly worse by saying things like “oh you don’t need to spend so much time or money on the game, just try to not play as much as usual”. I do not blame any of them, I feel like I had the issue and there was no ill-intent on their part. But the final straw came just about two weeks ago. People in my group chat were talking about a new game called King’s Raid that they had started up recently and were trying to get me to play. I finally gave in, downloaded the game and it seemed interesting. It was Sunday night/Monday morning, and like any normal person I had to work on Monday morning. I stayed up until about 5:30am playing this new game for the first time, and of course had to spend about $150 to get a new character and items I liked. I got about an hour of sleep and then headed to work. It was then that I finally had enough and I had strong enough to feelings to end the vicious cycle. I realized everything that happened a few hours before was a culmination of everything that is wrong with mobile games and my addiction: I was starting a new cycle with a new game, I spent significant real-life money, and it was affecting my life once again. This was the moment of realization and the moment where I felt strong enough to take action. I wrote a brief message to my Soccer Spirits group chat without waiting for any replies, left the group chat, and deleted every mobile game app off my iphone. When I got home from work that day I deleted all the same apps off my ipad.
I feel free and liberated now. I have more time to work on some various hobbies, I can give my full attention to whatever I am doing in my home now, and I just feel better in general. I am not tied down because of a game that I have to always be progressing in or checking on.
And I did say we would come back to the topic of addiction. This element applies to me, and applies to a small subsection of other people, but not to everyone. However, it is important to recognize. I think I laid it out pretty well earlier: Mobile games are a lot like having a slot machine mixed with a game that is on your iphone that never leaves you. There is ALWAYS something to do in these games, and the option to spend money at any time is also there. The urge is always there and new patches with new content are added regularly to keep people playing. It is just a never-ending cycle.
What can we learn from this? I know there are other people out there that are going through similar things. Stop wasting your time and your money, go live your life. It took me years to finally come to this conclusion on my own, and to accept it. Not everyone that plays mobile games is ruining their life, spending too much time playing, spending too much money, or is addicted, but those elements are there. My advice is take a look at your own situation. Is there anything that you can think of that affects you negatively with your mobile game playing, just stop and consider if continuing to play is the right choice.
I am not sure this issue is really of epidemic proportions, but I think it affects way more people than we realize. Anyway, I hope this was somewhat helpful, insightful, or interesting! I feel like this was partly a way to have some closure as well for me (sorry for being greedy); to put the final nail in the proverbial mobile game coffin :)
